Role requires hands-on experience in vehicle repairs (engine, transmission, diagnosis) and a Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering, with 3–6 years in an automobile dealership setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review warranty claims submitted globally for the assigned commodity, verifying diagnostics, labor operations, parts usage and repair narratives.
• Validate root cause against fault codes/ DTCs to ensure technical justification and policy coverage.
• Cross-check mileage, in-service date, VIN history, and prior repairs to confirm eligibility and prevent leakage.
• Code failure modes, causal parts, and labor times for warranty analytics and supplier recovery.
• Assess warranty claims across global markets for the assigned commodity.
• Flag assessment concerns to Team Leads to strengthen claim controls.
• Recommend standardization of assessment practices to reduce costs globally.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Warranty Claims Assessor to join our global warranty operations team, responsible for reviewing, validating, and processing warranty claims for an assigned automotive commodity (e.g., engine, transmission, electrical, chassis, etc.). This role plays a critical part in ensuring claims are assessed accurately, fairly, and in line with warranty policy, while identifying trends that help reduce warranty costs and improve product quality feedback loops.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess warranty claims submitted by dealerships/markets globally for the assigned commodity, verifying diagnostic codes, labor operations, parts usage, and repair narratives against warranty policy and technical guidelines
• Validate root cause of failure against approved fault codes/diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) to ensure claims are technically justified and not duplicative, fraudulent, or outside policy coverage
• Cross-check claim details (mileage, in-service date, VIN history, prior repair history) to confirm eligibility and prevent claim leakage
• Ensure accurate coding of failure modes, causal parts, and labor times to support downstream warranty analytics and supplier recovery processes
• Assess warranty claims across global markets for the assigned commodity
• Achieve 100% capacity utilization
• Maintain claim mix proportionate to intake volumes
• Uphold a 99% quality benchmark in claim assessments
• Flag assessment concerns to Team Leads to strengthen claim controls
• Recommend ways to standardize assessing practices, steps, and identify cost-saving opportunities globally
