Job summary

Magpie Global in Mumbai Nhava Sheva Port seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee end-to-end warehouse logistics, including loading, unloading, and dispatch activities. You will coordinate contract labour, plan shipments, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining compliance with customs procedures and company SOPs.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in logistics or warehouse operations (FMCG/trading preferred), a degree in Supply Chain or related field, strong organisation and communication

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of logistics or warehouse operations experience.
• Graduate in any discipline; Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is advantageous.
• Strong labour management and warehouse operations knowledge.
• Experience with shipment planning, dispatch management, and transporter coordination.
• Familiar with customs documentation, GST, and inventory movement processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise end-to-end warehouse logistics operations, including loading, unloading, cleaning, material shifting, and dispatch activities.
• Coordinate and manage contract labour teams to ensure smooth daily operations and optimum productivity.
• Plan and monitor shipments to ensure timely dispatches and adherence to customer delivery schedules and shipment cut-offs.
• Coordinate with transporters, warehouses, vendors, and internal teams for seamless movement of goods.
• Ensure accurate preparation and maintenance of shipping documents, delivery challans, invoices, gate passes, e-way bills, and other logistics records.
• Ensure compliance with customs procedures, statutory regulations, and company SOPs.
• Track shipments, resolve logistics issues, and proactively manage delays or exceptions.
• Provide timely MIS reports and operational updates to management on dispatches, inventory movement, labour utilization, and shipment status.
• Maintain warehouse discipline, cleanliness, safety standards, and operational efficiency.
• Monitor logistics costs and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce turnaround time.
• Coordinate with inventory, sales, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate in any discipline; Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management will be an advantage.
• 5-8 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain, preferably in FMCG, beverages, liquor distribution, or trading companies.
• Strong experience in labour management and warehouse operations.
• Hands‑on experience in shipment planning, dispatch management, transporter coordination, and meeting shipment cut‑off timelines.
• Good understanding of customs documentation, and statutory logistics compliance.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation, e‑way bills, GST documentation, and inventory movement processes.
• Strong organizational, coordination, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
