Job summary

Gharuda Infotech in Chennai, India is seeking a Business Analyst to document As-Is and To-Be processes, capture client requirements, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver software projects.

You will translate business needs into clear functional requirements, create BRD/FRD/SRS, support UAT, and assist in demos and validation with clients. This role suits a detail-oriented communicator who can manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software/project development.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in gathering and analyzing requirements and documenting BRD/FRD/SRS.
• Experience in UAT coordination and requirement validation.
• Knowledge of project documentation, requirement tracking, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document As-Is and To-Be business processes.
• Communicate business requirements clearly to the development team.
• Clarify developers' questions regarding business requirements and functionality.
• Coordinate with UI/UX designers for screen, workflow, and user experience requirements.
• Review application designs and ensure they align with business requirements.
• Coordinate with developers, testers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Track requirements throughout the complete development lifecycle.
• Prepare functional test scenarios and support the testing team during validation.
• Participate in UAT and validate that developed features meet business requirements.
• Conduct product demonstrations and walkthroughs for clients.
• Collect client feedback and document change requests.
• Analyze the impact of change requests on project scope, cost, resources, and timeline.
• Maintain the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) throughout the project.
• Identify gaps between client requirements and the developed application.
• Ensure all agreed requirements are implemented correctly as per specifications.
• Prepare and maintain BRD, FRD, SRS, user stories, and other project documentation.
• Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements from clients and stakeholders.
• Define functional requirements, business rules, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Support project planning by providing requirement estimates, dependencies, and priorities.
• Monitor requirement progress and provide regular updates to the project manager.
• Identify requirement-related risks, dependencies, and potential project issues.
• Coordinate requirement reviews and obtain necessary approvals from stakeholders.
• Manage requirement changes and ensure proper approval before implementation.
• Support the project team in resolving functional and business-related issues.
• Ensure proper documentation and sign-off are completed before project milestones.
• Support post-deployment activities and clarify business requirements when required.
• Ensure the final product meets client expectations and defined business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend suitable solutions.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software/project development.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong knowledge of Requirement Gathering and Requirement Analysis.
• Experience in preparing BRD, FRD, SRS, User Stories, and other project documents.
• Good understanding of As-Is and To-Be process mapping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, developers, testers, and project managers.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into clear functional requirements.
• Experience in UAT coordination, test scenario preparation, and requirement validation.
• Good knowledge of project documentation, requirement tracking, and change management.
• Ability to conduct client meetings, product demos, and requirement discussions.
• Basic understanding of UI/UX, databases, APIs, and software applications.
• Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Excel, MS Word, or similar project management tools is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple requirements and priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work closely with technical and business teams.
• Good team player with a proactive and responsible approach.
• Candidates with experience in web or SaaS application development projects will be preferred.
• Qualification: Any degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
