Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a seasoned Performance Testing Engineer in Chennai with 4-12 years of experience. The role requires hands-on work with LoadRunner, Vugen scripting, and APM tools to analyze performance across banking domain projects.

The candidate should independently manage requirements analysis, design, execution, and result analysis, while also understanding OS internals, cloud concepts (AWS/Azure), and database monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience with LoadRunner and APM tools (AppDynamics/Dynatrace/New Relic) is required
• Independently handle requirements analysis, design, execution and result analysis phases

Responsibilities

• Develop customized codes in Java & C for optimizing Vugen scripts
• Monitor production performance statistics and apply the same model in test environments with higher load
• Monitor DB performance and highlight issues

What we are looking for

Must Have

Minimum 5 mandate details are mandate with two or 3 liners

• Good experience using Performance Test tool LoadRunner and understanding of APM tools like AppDynamics/Dynatrace/New Relic, etc.
• Should have ability to work independently in Requirement analysis, designing, execution & result analysis phase.
• Develop customized codes in Java & C language for optimizing and enhancing Vugen scripts.
• Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for issue triaging & bug fixes.
• Good understanding of different OS internals, file systems, disk/storage, networking protocols and other latest technologies like Cloud infra.
• Monitor/extract production performance statistics and apply the same model in the test environments with higher load to uncover performance issues.
• Must have experience in monitoring DB and highlight performance issues.
• Experience working on Finance Banking domain projects. LoadRunner -HTTP/HTML/Webservices protocol/Java Protocol. Monitoring Tools: AppDynamics/ Dynatrace/ Cloudwatch/ Splunk/ Kibana/ Grafana/ Datadog
• Database SQL or Mongo
• Unix basics
• Good understanding of cloud concepts AWS/Azure

Minimum Qualification:

• 15 years of full-time education
