Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee receipt and unloading of raw materials with proper documentation.
• Verify quantity and quality of materials against purchase orders with QC for GRN clearance.
• Maintain inventory records using SAP or manual methods.
• Perform periodic stock checks and cycle counts to minimize discrepancies.
• Identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory and take corrective actions.
• Issue raw materials to production and outsourcing teams as per schedules.
• Develop a systematic layout for materials to optimize space usage.
• Ensure storage conditions meet material-specific requirements (rustproofing, weather protection).
• Enforce material handling safety standards and PPE usage.
• Conduct regular safety drills and training for contract workers handling materials.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, 5S and other standards.
• Prepare and circulate weekly/monthly reports on inventory levels and movement.
• Identify initiatives to optimize turnover and reduce lead times.
• Develop SOPs for store operations to standardize procedures and minimize errors.
