Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Study and interpret structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants and resolve technical issues at site.
• Monitor quality, inspect materials, and ensure compliance with specs.
• Prepare material requirements and assist with BOQs and bills.
• Maintain daily site reports and record progress.
• Ensure workers follow safety procedures and PPE usage.

Role & responsibilities

Site Supervision

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities.
• Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor workers, subcontractors, and site activities

Technical Responsibilities

• Study and interpret structural, architectural, and MEP drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants and resolve technical issues at site.
• Check dimensions, levels, alignments, and materials.

Quality Control

• Ensure construction work meets required quality standards.
• Inspect materials and workmanship.
• Coordinate inspections and testing of concrete, steel, soil, etc.
• Identify and rectify defects or non-conforming work.

Quantity & Measurement

• Take site measurements and maintain quantity records.
• Verify quantities executed by subcontractors.
• Assist with bills, BOQs, and material requirements.

Planning & Progress

• Monitor daily and weekly work progress.
• Ensure activities are completed according to the project schedule.
• Report delays, constraints, and progress to the project manager.
• Safety
  • Ensure workers follow site safety procedures.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and report/correct them.
  • Coordinate with the safety team regarding PPE, permits, and safe working practices.
• Material Management
  • Prepare material requirements based on site needs.
  • Monitor material usage, storage, and wastage.
  • Coordinate with stores and procurement teams.
• Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain daily site reports, inspection requests, checklists, and records.
  • Record manpower, equipment, materials, and work progress.
  • Maintain as-built information and relevant site documentation.
• Coordination
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate different trades to avoid clashes and delays.
  • Attend site meetings and communicate site requirements.
• Problem Solving
  • Identify construction problems and suggest practical solutions.
  • Handle site-level technical and execution issues.
  • Escalate major issues to the project manager or consultant.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• Relevant technical certifications will be an added advantage.
