Job summary

JAIN HOUSING & CONSTRUCTION is seeking a Civil Engineer to supervise day-to-day site activities for high-rise residential projects in Chennai. You will coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely availability of manpower, materials and equipment, while maintaining quality and safety on site.

The role requires 3-8 years of on-site execution/finishing experience, good knowledge of drawings and specifications, and strong coordination and communication skills to meet

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 3-8 years of site execution/finishing experience on high-rise residential projects (preferably).
• Experience with construction drawings, specifications and site processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure execution as per drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and vendors to ensure manpower, materials and equipment are available on time.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and address delays or issues proactively.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to meet standards.
• Coordinate with design, planning, MEP and other teams for clarifications and smooth execution.
• Ensure safety compliance and housekeeping on site.
• Verify measurements and quantities for contractor billing and coordinate with QS and accounts.
• Maintain daily progress reports, site logs, material records and handover documentation.

• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections, and ensure work meets standards
• Coordinate with the design, planning, MEP and other teams for drawing clarifications and smooth execution
• Ensure safety compliance and good housekeeping on site
• Verify measurements and quantities for contractor billing, and coordinate with the QS and accounts teams
• Maintain daily progress reports, site logs, material records and handover documentation

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• 3-8 years of site execution/Finishing experience on high-rise residential projects
• Experience with Mivan (aluminium formwork) construction is preferred
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and site processes
• Strong coordination, problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to manage site teams and work to tight schedules
