Job summary

SOTI is seeking an experienced QA professional to lead functional and API testing across mobility and web platforms. You will craft and execute test plans, review test artifacts, and work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust releases.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of experience with strong analytical skills, scripting knowledge, and familiarity with databases, monitoring, and security/performance testing. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in Functional testing.
• Strong on API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Strong on Mobility (Android, iOS & Windows) and Web technologies.
• Knowledge of SQL and No-SQL databases is an added advantage.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana.
• Strong in Performance or Security testing.
• Familiar with regression, backward compatibility, and various testing types.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., C#, JavaScript, VB Script).
• Solid knowledge of Core Java, Selenium, Automation testing, and Unit Testing.
• Exposure to microservice architectures and cloud knowledge.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough functional testing to ensure software quality.
• Design and execute API tests and validate responses.
• Test mobile platforms (Android, iOS, Windows) and web apps.
• Evaluate databases (SQL/No-SQL) and monitor performance.
• Utilize CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GHE, Jenkins) for test automation.
• Create and review test cases and TC/FTR files.
• Collaborate with developers to diagnose issues and provide quality improvements.
• Involve in regression, security, performance, and backward compatibility testing.

Qualifications/Responsibilities

• 5-8 years of experience in Functional testing and must be passionate about quality.
• Strong analytical skills which reflect in finding good scenarios.
• Strong on API testing using any tool e.g. Postman (Rest API)
• Strong on Mobility [Android, IOS & Windows] & Web technologies
• Knowledge on Database testing ( SQL and No-SQL)is added advantage.
• Knowledge on any monitoring tool e.g. Graphana.
• Strong hold on Performance or Security testing
• Good to have Knowledge on J Meter & Scripting
• Have Worked on TC/FTR File Reviews
• Good to have knowledge on BDD & C # Frameworks
• Strong knowledge on QA processes and methodology, with ability to create excellent test cases and TC reviews.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GHE, Jenkins (CI & CD), visual studio, Jira or any other testing tools.
• Good debugging & troubleshooting skills.
• Have sounds knowledge on Regression testing, security testing, performance testing, Backward compatibility testing, Database testing ,system testing, Black Box testing, UAT, Integration testing etc.
• Good to have Knowledge on languages like C#, Java Script, VB Script or any scripting language etc.,
• Have good knowledge on Core Java/ Selenium/ Automation testing/ Unit Testing.
• Good to have knowledge on Microservice based architecture with cloud knowledge.
• Good communication and interpersonal skill (Written and speaking).
