Job summary

Dynamech Design is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks expertise to lead mechanical CAD design initiatives. The role focuses on 3D modelling, 2D drafting, and manufacturability, ensuring accurate, manufacturable designs across components and assemblies.

The candidate will independently handle design tasks, perform DFMA assessments, and coordinate with production and engineering teams to deliver robust drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Hands‑on experience in 3D modelling and 2D drafting.
• Good knowledge of mechanical CAD design and drafting.
• Understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), dimensions and tolerances.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and develop 3D models of mechanical components, assemblies, and structures using SolidWorks.
• Prepare detailed 2D engineering drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and annotations.
• Perform 3D modelling, assembly modelling, and design modifications.
• Perform sheet metal component design.
• Convert 2D drawings into 3D CAD models and vice versa.
• DFMA and Manufacturing feasibility study.
• Develop manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
• Ensure design accuracy, dimensional correctness, and manufacturability.
• Perform design changes based on customer and project requirements.
• Maintain CAD files, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with production, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
• Identify and resolve design‑related issues.
