Job summary

Pennar Industries Limited is hiring a CAD Engineer (SolidWorks) to create and maintain accurate 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings for aerospace components. You will ensure drawing integrity, BOM accuracy, and alignment with customer specifications.

Role requires hands-on SolidWorks skills, GD&T knowledge, and collaboration with CAM, Methods, Production, and Quality teams. Prior aerospace exposure is a plus. This is an on-site position in Hyderabad, India.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SolidWorks part modelling, assemblies, and drafting.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, fits and tolerances.
• Basic understanding of CNC machining, sheet metal processes, and aerospace materials.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify 3D part models, assemblies, and 2D drawings in SolidWorks.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, and relevant notes.
• Work on machined and sheet metal components, including sheet metal flat patterns.
• Prepare BOMs and verify consistency between models, drawings, and BOMs.
• Review customer drawings and models; raise queries for missing or conflicting requirements.
• Coordinate with CAM, Methods, Production, and Quality teams to resolve drawing issues.
• Implement approved engineering changes and maintain drawing revisions and file traceability.
• Import, export, and check CAD files in formats such as STEP, IGES, and DXF.
• Follow customer CAD requirements and internal document control procedures.
