Sashanka Agro Tech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled technician to operate and set up roll-forming lines in our Kolkata facility. You will review production plans, prepare machines, and ensure dimensions are within design tolerances.

Responsibilities include loading coils, adjusting tooling, performing inline quality checks, and coordinating with maintenance for preventive tasks. The role emphasizes safety, 5S housekeeping, and adherence to ISO standards.

Responsabilidades

• Machine Setup & Operation: review production schedules, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine setup requirements.
• Load raw material coils (CRCA/GI) onto dcoilers safely using overhead cranes or material handling equipment.
• Set up, align, and adjust roll-forming tooling, dies, straighteners, and cutting mechanisms according to specification sheets.
• Quality Control & Inspection: perform initial trial runs and measure dimensions using precision instruments (vernier calipers, tape measures, angle gauges).
• Routine Maintenance & Troubleshooting: perform daily pre-start and post-operation checks; troubleshoot issues and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Safety & Housekeeping: adhere to SOPs and ISO standards; use PPE; maintain 5S standards in the work area.
• KRAs: Production Output & Efficiency; Quality & Dimensional Accuracy; Material Optimization & Waste Reduction; Machine Reliability & Maintenance; Workplace Safety & Compliance

Role & responsibilities

1. Machine Setup & Operation: o Review production schedules, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine setup requirements. o Load raw material coils (CRCA/GI) onto dcoilers safely using overhead cranes or material handling equipment. o Set up, align, and adjust roll-forming tooling, dies, straighteners, and cutting mechanisms according to specification sheets.
2. Quality Control & Inspection: o Perform initial trial runs and measure dimensions (length, width, thickness, camber, twist, and punch locations) using precision instruments (vernier calipers, tape measures, angle gauges). o Conduct continuous inline quality checks during production runs to minimize scrap, defects, and surface scratches.
3. Routine Maintenance & Troubleshooting: o Perform daily pre-start and post-operation checks (lubrication, hydraulic/pneumatic checks, sensor checks). o Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues during production and execute minor adjustments or tool changes. o Coordinate with the maintenance team for major repairs and routine preventive maintenance (PM).
4. Safety & Housekeeping: o Strictly adhere to company safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ISO standards (ISO 9001/14001/45001). o Use mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety shoes, and eye protection. o Maintain 5S standards (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in the work area and around the machine.
