Job summary

Standard Group Of Companies in Hyderabad seeks a seasoned Purchase Executive with 13 years of procurement experience across engineering, fabrication, process equipment or manufacturing. You will manage vendor selection, RFQs, negotiations and timely PO releases, coordinating with Design, Production, QC and Stores to ensure alignment with project schedules.

The role demands strong vendor management, price/term negotiations and cross-functional coordination to support cost reduction and on-time

Qualifications

  • 13 years of experience in procurement, preferably from engineering, fabrication, process equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, or manufacturing industry.
  • Responsible for procurement of raw materials, bought-out items, fabrication consumables, engineering components and services required for manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and understand material requirements, BOMs, indents and purchase requisitions from Design, Production, Planning, Projects and Stores.
  • Identify suitable vendors and obtain competitive quotations for required materials and services.
  • Prepare RFQs and communicate technical/commercial requirements clearly to vendors.
  • Compare quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, payment terms, technical specifications and other commercial conditions.
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the best price, quality and delivery commitments.
  • Prepare and release Purchase Orders after obtaining the required internal approvals.
  • Follow up with vendors regularly for material readiness, inspection, dispatch and delivery as per the project schedule.
  • Coordinate with Design, QC, Production, Planning, Stores and Accounts for purchase-related requirements.
  • Ensure that vendors receive the latest approved drawings, specifications, BOMs and other required documents wherever applicable.
  • Coordinate with QC for stage inspections, material inspections and vendor inspections wherever required.
  • Follow up on pending materials, delayed supplies, rejections, shortages and replacement materials.
  • Maintain proper records of RFQs, quotations, comparative statements, POs, delivery schedules and vendor communications.
  • Develop and maintain a database of existing and potential vendors.
  • Identify alternative vendors for critical materials and fabrication requirements.
  • Support vendor development and evaluation based on quality, delivery and commercial performance.
  • Monitor purchase status and provide regular updates to Planning / Management.
  • Coordinate with Stores regarding material receipt, shortages and pending purchase items.
  • Ensure procurement is carried out as per approved specifications, quantities and delivery requirements.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through vendor negotiation, alternate sourcing and supplier development.

About the Role

We are looking for a Purchase Executive with 13 years of experience in procurement, preferably from an engineering, fabrication, process equipment, pharmaceutical equipment, or manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for procurement of raw materials, bought-out items, fabrication consumables, engineering components and services required for manufacturing equipment such as Reactors, ANFDs, Heat Exchangers, Storage Tanks, Receivers, PNF and other process equipment.
