Job summary

Luxapack in Jaipur is seeking a proactive Purchase Executive – Eatable Section to manage the end-to-end procurement cycle for eatable products. You will develop vendors, source items, plan inventory, ensure timely procurement, document purchases, and coordinate with Accounts and internal teams.

Purchase Executive Eatable Section

Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Purchase Executive – Eatable Section to manage the complete procurement cycle for eatable products. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, product sourcing, inventory planning, timely procurement, purchase documentation, and coordination with the Accounts and other internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors and suppliers for eatable products as per company requirements.
• Source and curate new and innovative eatable items suitable for the company's premium gifting requirements.
• Compare vendor quotations, pricing, quality, lead time, and payment terms to ensure the best procurement decisions.
• Manage nil/low inventory situations and ensure timely replenishment of required eatable products.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchases based on current requirements and upcoming orders.
• Ensure on-time delivery of purchased materials and regularly follow up with vendors regarding pending orders.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and negotiate for better pricing, quality, and commercial terms.
• Ensure the quality, quantity, packaging, and specifications of received products are as per approved requirements.
• Maintain and organize all purchase-related documents, including quotations, purchase orders, invoices, delivery records, and vendor details.
• Coordinate with the Accounts Team for invoice verification, payment follow-ups, and resolution of purchase-related discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate purchase records and vendor databases for future reference.
• Coordinate with Store, Production, Sales, and other relevant departments to understand procurement requirements.
• Track market trends, pricing, and availability of eatable products to identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure purchases are made within approved budgets and company policies.
• Resolve vendor-related issues related to pricing, quality, delivery, and documentation in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; a background in Commerce, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Management will be an added advantage.
• 2–5 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in FMCG, Food, Gifting, Hospitality, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of vendor development and negotiation.
• Good understanding of inventory management and procurement planning.
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and purchase-related documentation.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple requirements, and meet strict deadlines.
• Good market knowledge of eatable/FMCG products will be preferred.
