Job summary

Aurionpro is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Mechanical/HVAC Project Execution in Navi Mumbai to lead end-to-end mechanical and HVAC project delivery for data center and mission-critical facilities.

The role requires 10–12+ years in mechanical/HVAC project execution, strong leadership, and expertise in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across planning, testing, commissioning, and handover. On-site work in a Data Center environment is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Mechanical/HVAC Project Execution with 10–12+ years of experience in managing large-scale Data Center, MEP, HVAC, Industrial, or Infrastructure projects.

The candidate will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, testing, commissioning, and successful delivery of mechanical/HVAC works, ensuring projects are completed within approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

• Lead end-to-end mechanical/HVAC project execution from mobilization through testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop and monitor project execution strategies, schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed time, cost, quality, and safety parameters.
• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, equipment schedules, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Monitor overall project progress and implement recovery plans wherever required.
• Identify project risks, constraints, and critical activities and ensure timely mitigation.
• Conduct regular progress reviews and drive closure of project action items.

HVAC & Mechanical Systems

• Oversee installation and execution of major HVAC/mechanical systems, including:
• Chillers – Air-cooled / Water-cooled
• CRAH / CRAC units
• AHUs and ventilation systems
• Cooling towers
• Chilled water and condenser water systems
• Pumps and pumping systems
• HVAC piping and ductwork
• Valves, strainers, expansion tanks and associated accessories
• Heat exchangers
• Precision cooling systems
• BMS/HVAC controls and instrumentation
• Smoke extraction and ventilation systems
• Ensure proper installation, pressure testing, flushing, chemical cleaning, insulation, testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.

Data Center / Mission Critical Projects

• Manage execution of critical cooling infrastructure for Data Center facilities.
• Ensure HVAC systems meet high availability, reliability, redundancy, and maintainability requirements.
• Demonstrate understanding of N+1, 2N and 2N+1 cooling configurations.
• Coordinate Data Hall cooling requirements and critical mechanical interfaces.
• Lead or support Testing, Commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) activities.
• Coordinate HVAC interfaces with electrical, BMS, fire protection, plumbing, controls, and other MEP systems.

Stakeholder & Contractor Management

• Lead coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Manage multiple contractors and ensure adherence to project requirements and schedules.
• Review contractor work programs, manpower deployment, productivity, material requirements, and progress.
• Conduct regular coordination and progress meetings and ensure timely closure of action items.
• Resolve technical, commercial, and site execution issues in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Quality & HSE

• Ensure execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and applicable standards.
• Drive quality assurance and quality control throughout project execution.
• Review inspection plans, test procedures, commissioning plans, and quality documentation.
• Ensure timely closure of NCRs, observations, snags, and punch points.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with project HSE policies and statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety/quality reviews.

Planning, Cost & Reporting

• Coordinate with planning teams to establish and maintain detailed project schedules.
• Track progress against planned milestones and take corrective action for delays.
• Monitor project manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance.
• Support cost control, quantity tracking, measurement, billing, and variation management.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
• Present project status, risks, challenges, and recovery plans to senior management/client.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, and integrated testing of HVAC systems.
• Ensure commissioning activities are planned and executed in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate functional performance testing and integrated testing with all relevant MEP systems.
• Ensure timely closure of punch lists and commissioning issues.
• Oversee preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, testing reports, commissioning records, and handover documentation.
• Ensure successful project handover to the client/operations team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10–12+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical/HVAC project execution and project management.
• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
• Strong experience managing large-scale Data Center, MEP, HVAC, Industrial, or Infrastructure projects.
• Data Center / Mission Critical experience is highly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, mechanical services, and commissioning.
• Experience managing multiple contractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource management, cost control, and risk management.
• Experience in testing, commissioning, performance testing, and preferably IST.
• Strong understanding of quality management and HSE requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage projects under tight timelines and high-pressure execution environments.
