Job summary

URC Construction is seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer to design, install, inspect, commission, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems for data center projects. You will ensure safety, energy efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Join our team to review drawings, coordinate with architectural and other disciplines, supervise installation, perform testing and balancing, and drive continuous improvement in system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC engineering required.
• Experience in HVAC design, installation, testing, commissioning or maintenance.
• Knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, chillers, VRF/VRV systems, cooling towers, pumps, ventilation, and ductwork.
• Ability to read HVAC/MEP drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of HVAC design calculations and equipment selection.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards and safety requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review HVAC layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate HVAC works with architectural, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural disciplines.
• Supervise HVAC installation activities and ensure work is completed according to drawings and specs.
• Inspect equipment and installation for quality, safety, and compliance.
• Conduct testing, commissioning, balancing, and performance verification of HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and system-related problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor project progress, material requirements, manpower, and installation schedules.
• Prepare inspection reports, testing and commissioning reports, progress reports, and other technical documentation.
• Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, reliability, and energy performance.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Engineer to design, install, inspect, commission, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that HVAC systems are safe, energy-efficient, reliable, and compliant with applicable engineering standards and project requirements.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibility

HVAC systems for Data center projects.

• - Understand and review HVAC layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
• - Review engineering drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents.
• - Coordinate HVAC works with architectural, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural disciplines.
• - Supervise HVAC installation activities and ensure work is completed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• - Inspect equipment and installation works for quality, safety, and compliance.
• - Conduct testing, commissioning, balancing, and performance verification of HVAC systems.
• - Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and system-related problems and recommend corrective actions.
• - Monitor project progress, material requirements, manpower, and installation schedules.
• - Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, clients, and other project stakeholders.
• - Ensure compliance with applicable HVAC codes, standards, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.

• - Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance activities where required.
• - Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, reliability, and energy performance.

Required Qualifications

• - Bachelors/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
• - Relevant experience in HVAC design, installation, testing, commissioning, or maintenance.
• - Good knowledge of HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, VRF/VRV systems, cooling towers, pumps, ventilation systems,TES and ductwork.
• - Ability to read and interpret HVAC/MEP drawings and technical specifications.
• - Knowledge of HVAC design calculations and equipment selection.
• - Familiarity with relevant HVAC codes, standards, and safety requirements.
• - Proficiency in AutoCAD
• - Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

• - Experience with commercial buildings, industrial facilities, hospitals, hotels, data centers, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• - Experience in HVAC testing, commissioning, TAB (Testing, Adjusting and Balancing), and troubleshooting.
• - Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and clients.
