Job Description for Senior Project Manager Fire Fighting

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager - Fire Fighting to lead, manage, and deliver fire protection system projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of fire safety standards, project management best practices, and experience in managing multiple large-scale projects. This position requires a proactive leader who can ensure compliance, maintain high safety standards, and deliver projects within budget and time constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Management:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings, ensure scope clarity, and set milestones for project delivery.
• Fire Fighting System Oversight:
  • Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hydrants, fire pumps, and suppression systems.
  • Ensure all fire systems comply with local, national, and international fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, or local regulations).
• Resource Management:
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively, including labor, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure proper coordination between mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
• Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants, vendors, and authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage contracts, negotiate with suppliers, and monitor third-party service providers.
• Quality and Safety Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce strict quality assurance and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure project and safety compliance.
• Budget and Cost Control:
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and control costs without compromising quality.
  • Provide regular financial and progress reports to senior management.
• Risk Management:
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve project issues promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, MEP/Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in project management, specifically in fire protection and firefighting systems.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale fire system installation projects in commercial, industrial, or residential sectors.
