Job summary

Fernandes Electricals is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to own end-to-end electrical contracting operations, bridging technical execution and business growth.

You will coordinate on-site activities, supervise labour, manage procurement, handle measurements and RA bills, and nurture client relationships across multiple sites in Pune.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day progress at multiple sites, ensuring execution matches engineering drawings and timelines.
• Manage internal site engineers, supervisors, and sub-contractors.
• Take joint measurements on-site and prepare running account (RA) bills.
• Coordinate with client billing departments to ensure timely payment realization.
• Analyze incoming enquiries, study tender documents, and prepare competitive cost estimations for new works.
• Network with architects, consultants, and builders to secure new electrical contracting projects.
• Identify and negotiate extra work items (variations) on active sites to maximize project revenue.

Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Electrical Project Manager to take end-to-end ownership of our electrical contracting business operations. This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will bridge the gap between technical execution and business growth by managing everything from on-site coordination and billing to client relationships and business development.

Key Responsibilities1. Site Coordination & Labour Management

• Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day progress at multiple sites, ensuring execution matches engineering drawings and timelines.
• Workforce Supervision: Manage internal site engineers, supervisors, and sub-contractors.
• Labour Control: Efficiently allocate labor, resolve on-site conflicts, and ensure strict compliance with safety norms.

2. Material Planning & Procurement

• Indent & Estimation: Review single-line diagrams (SLDs) to forecast and raise timely material requests (indents).
• Inventory Control: Monitor material consumption on-site to minimize wastage and track inventory levels.
• Vendor Coordination: Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of electrical equipment (panels, cables, switchgears, transformers).

3. Billing & Client Management

• Measurement & Invoice Generation: Take joint measurements on-site and prepare timely running account (RA) bills.
• Payment Follow-ups: Coordinate with client billing departments to ensure smooth bill approvals and timely payment realization.
• Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, main contractors, and electrical consultants.

4. Business Development & Estimation

• Tendering & Estimation: Analyze incoming enquiries, study tender documents, and prepare competitive cost estimations for new works.
• Growth Initiatives: Network with architects, consultants, and builders to secure new electrical contracting projects.
• Variation Orders: Identify and negotiate extra work items (variations) on active sites to maximize project revenue.Role & responsibilities
