Job summary

Medanta in Dadri (Uttar Pradesh) seeks a hospital pharmacist to review prescriptions, provide clinical support to doctors and nurses, and supervise the preparation of medicines in a sterile setting.

You will manage inventory, ensure secure storage and accurate dispensing of drugs according to hospital policy, and support patient safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a Pharmacy degree or diploma with valid UP registration and prior hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prescription Review: Checks and approves medication orders to ensure correct dosages, check for allergies, and prevent interactions.

• Medication Preparation: Oversees preparation of IV fluids, nutrition mixtures, and injectables under sterile conditions.

Role & responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Consults with doctors and nurses on the best choice of medicine, adjusts doses for patients with organ impairment (like kidney or liver issues), and monitors high-risk drug levels.
• Medication Preparation: Oversees the preparation of specialized medicines, including intravenous (IV) fluids, nutrition mixtures, and injectable drugs, ensuring sterile conditions.
• Inventory Control: Ensures controlled drugs and general medications are securely stored, properly tracked, and dispensed according to hospital policy.
