Job summary

Asian Cancer Institute in Mumbai is seeking a pharmacist to review and validate medication orders, dispense medicines per physician orders and hospital policy, and ensure patient safety through checks of patient, medicine, dose, route and time.

The pharmacist will coordinate with nursing staff to ensure timely supply to IPD wards, clarify prescription discrepancies with doctors, and guarantee timely supply of emergency and critical medicines.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate medication orders/prescriptions before dispensing.
• Dispense medicines accurately as per physician orders and hospital policy.
• Verify right patient, right medicine, right dose, right route and right time.
• Coordinate with nursing staff for timely medication supply to IPD wards.
• Clarify prescription discrepancies or medication-related queries with the concerned doctor.
• Ensure timely supply of emergency and critical medicines.
