Responsibilities

• Confirm patient insurance coverage and eligibility before appointments or procedures.
• Obtain prior authorizations or pre-certifications as required by insurers.
• Contact insurance companies to verify policy details, coverage limits, and patient benefits.
• Inform patients about insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, copays and deductibles.
• Document insurance information and verification details in the provider system.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in coverage or claims processing.
• Work with billing and coding to ensure accurate claims submissions.
• Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, regulations, and requirements.
• Address issues related to claim denials or payment delays.
• Ensure accuracy of patient demographics and insurance information.
