Job summary

You will ensure AS9100 compliance across SOPs, work instructions, and assembly routings, while supporting precision assembly on the shop floor.

The role requires 6-8 years in aerospace or precision engineering, with expertise in AS9100, NADCAP, and fixture usage.

Qualifications

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
• Experience: 6-8 years in aerospace or precision engineering manufacturing setups.
• Technical: AS9100, NADCAP special processes, assembly fixture usage.
• Skills: process documentation, precision tool handling, drawing interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Author, review, and maintain AS9100-compliant SOPs and work instructions.
• Support assembly and shop-floor operations using precision tools and fixtures.
• Oversee NADCAP-accredited processes like bonding, torqueing, surface treatments.
• Audit processes to ensure aerospace safety and quality compliance.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Tooling to resolve bottlenecks.

The ideal candidate will bridge technical documentation with practical shop-floor execution, ensuring all manufacturing and assembly operations comply strictly with AS9100 quality management standards and NADCAP requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Technical Documentation: Author, review, and maintain AS9100-compliant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and optimized assembly routings.
• Assembly & Shop Floor Support: Utilize precision hand tools, specialized machine tools, and custom assembly fixtures to streamline assembly processes.
• Special Process Execution: Oversee and manage NADCAP-accredited special processes, including structural bonding, precision torqueing, and surface treatments.
• Quality & Compliance: Audit manufacturing processes regularly to ensure strict adherence to aerospace safety, quality, and customer specifications.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Production, Quality, and Tooling teams to troubleshoot assembly bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering.
