Job summary

Tata AutoComp in Pune is seeking a CAE engineer to lead full-vehicle safety evaluations using LS-Dyna and related tools. You will collaborate with designers to direct structural improvements and ensure compliance with international safety standards.

The role requires BE/ME/MTech in Mechanical or Automotive engineering with CAE experience and familiarity with regulatory ratings such as FMVSS, IIHS, and Euro NCAP.

Qualifications

• BE/ME/MTech in Mechanical or Automotive engineering.
• Experience with safety evaluation and CAE tools.
• Knowledge of international safety standards (FMVSS, IIHS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out full-vehicle safety CAE evaluation (front/side/rear/roof) using LS-Dyna and related tools.
• Support design reviews and guide structural improvements with designers.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and third-party ratings (FMVSS, IIHS, Euro NCAP, AIS).

Job description

Responsibilities :

• 1- Carry out the Full Vehicle safety CAE performance evaluation (Front, Side, Rear Impact, Roofcrush, seatpull, seatbelt anchorage) using virtual engineering tools i.e LS-Dyna, Ansa, Hypermesh, LSPrepost, Hyperview, Primer
• 2- Participate in the design reviews support the designers with the design direction for structural improvements.
• 3- Good knowledge of various safety regulations and third-party ratings requirements, eg. FMVSS, IIHS, Euro-NCAP, China-NCAP, AIS regulations
