Job summary

HCLTech in Bengaluru is seeking a CAE Crash/Safety engineer with 3–8 years of experience to perform FE modelling and full vehicle integration.

You will drive safety evaluations per FMVSS, IIHS, Euro NCAP and other standards, and manage projects end-to-end from data collection to the engineering report.

Proficiency in LS-Dyna, ANSA, LS Pre-post, Meta and Primer is essential, with the ability to contribute in design reviews and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of CAE crash/safety experience.
• Experience in full vehicle safety CAE performance evaluation (frontal, side, rear, roof, seat pull, seatbelt anchorage).
• Ability to manage projects independently from input collection to engineering report release.
• Identify critical areas for improvement and root causes of failures.
• Proficiency in LS-Dyna, ANSA, LS Pre-post, Meta and Primer.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and third‑party ratings (FMVSS, IIHS, Euro NCAP, China NCAP, AIS).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on FE modelling, assembly and full vehicle integration using ANSA and LS-Dyna.
• Conduct full vehicle safety CAE evaluations (frontal, side, rear, roof, seat/seatbelt).
• Handle projects independently from data input to report release.
• Highlight critical areas for improvement and underlying failure causes.
• Participate in design reviews to support structural improvement direction.
• Stay updated on safety regulations and ratings requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• - Hands on experience in FE modeling, assembly and full vehicle integration using tools like ANSA. Solver as LS Dyna.
• - Experience in Full Vehicle Safety CAE performance evaluation (Frontal, Side, Rear Impact, Roof crush, seat pull, seatbelt anchorage)
• The candidate should have experience in handling the projects independently.
• The person is responsible from Input collection to the release of Engineering Report.
• The person should come up with critical areas for improvement and also be able to find out the underlying cause for failures.
• Proficient in LS-Dyna, ANSA, LS Pre-post, Meta, Primer
• Participate in the design reviews to support the designers with the design direction for structural improvements
