Job summary

Krishna Institute Of Medical Sciences invites applications for an anesthesia support role. You will manage the prescribed drugs from OT stores, verify labels and expiry dates, and label them for use in anaesthesia.

You will ensure essential surgery prep like ECG, lights, BP, ventilation, suction and diathermy equipment are ready and assist the anaesthetist in patient recovery. Preference for male candidates and registration is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Anesthesia or BSc is preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in anesthesia support.
• Registration is mandatory to practice.

Responsibilities

• Get prescribed drugs from OT stores.
• Check label and expiry dates; label for anaesthesia.
• Prepare ECG, lights, BP, ventilator, suction, diathermy for surgery.
• Assist the anaesthetist in patient recovery.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for getting the prescribed drugs from OT stores.

• Checks the correct label, expiry dates of the drugs, which are in use for anaesthesia and label them properly before giving the anaesthesia.

• Keeps ready the following things ready for surgery.

a) ECG machine

b) Operation lights

c) Blood pressure apparatus

d) Boyles apparatus with ventilator

e) Suction apparatus

f) Diathermy machine etc.

• Helps the anesthetist in recovering the patient.
