Job summary

RG Stone Urology & Laparoscopy Hospital seeks a dedicated TECHNICIAN ANAESTHESIA to support the operation theatre team in Delhi. You will receive patients, verify documents, and prepare them for surgery, ensuring all anesthesia carts and machines are ready and updated.

Responsibilities include maintaining emergency meds and gas backups, inspecting anesthesia equipment daily, and assisting anesthesiologists before, during, and after anesthesia, including patient transfer and intubation support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or B.Sc. in Anaesthesia is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive the patient for surgery and verify identification.
• Check patient files for proper documentation.
• Prepare the patient for surgery.
• Ensure anesthesia carts and machines are up to date; replace gas cylinders as needed.
• Check and update emergency medicines and medical gas backup in the Operation Theatre.
• Perform daily anesthesia equipment inspections including suction, electrical plugs, gas connections and cylinders.
• Assist anesthesiologists before, during and after anesthesia, including transfer to the operating table, monitoring equipment attachment, positioning for procedures, and assisting with endotracheal intubations.

Reporting to: IN CHARGE - OPERATION THEATRE

Qualification: DIPLOMA / B. Sc. IN ANAESTHESIA

Dress Code: SPECIFIED DRESS CODE WITH I.D. CARD

Duty Hours: AS PER SCHEDULED REQUIREMENTS

Key areas of responsibility:

• To receive the patient for surgery and verify their identification.
• To check the patient files for proper documentation.
• To prepare the patient for surgery.
• To ensure anesthesia carts are supplied and machines are up to date prior to the beginning of the surgery schedule and between procedures. Checks and replaces anesthesia gas cylinders as needed.
• To check and update the emergency medicines, medical gas back up in Operation Theatre.
• To perform daily anesthesia equipment inspections including suction, electrical plugs, gas connections, oxygen and nitrous oxide cylinders
• To assists anesthesiologists in care of patients before, during, and immediately after anesthesia which involves the following:
• Transfer of patients from stretchers to operating table
• attachment of vital signs monitoring equipment
• Positioning and hold patients for procedures, i.e spinal, epidurals
• Assist in endotracheal intubations by preparing and holding equipment
