Job summary

A software services company is looking for a Trading Application & Algo Tester with 4 to 7 years of experience in software testing. The role involves functional testing of capital market applications, preparation and execution of test cases, and strong knowledge of testing methodologies. Ideal candidates will possess expertise in manual testing, defect management tools, and should be familiar with Agile practices. This position is full-time and requires working from the office located in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in software testing.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience in preparing and executing test cases.
• Hands-on defect management using HP-ALM and strong defect lifecycle knowledge.
• Proficient in SDLC and STLC processes; agile with Scrum.
• Ability to design test cases and traceability matrices mapping BRs to tests.
• SQL knowledge for data verification and SQL Server queries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional testing of trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and prepare test cases.
• Report defects and participate in Scrum meetings.
• Conduct functional, regression, re-testing, system, and sanity testing.
• Collaborate in an Agile Scrum environment; participate in daily standups.

What he will do:

• Basic functional Testing of Capital Market Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc.
• Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• Expertise in Manual Testing with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53.
• Very good knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• Conducted Test Case review and sent review comments to team mates.
• Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
