A software services company based in Mumbai is looking for a Trading Application & Algo Tester. The candidate should have 4 to 7 years of experience in functional testing, with proficiency in Manual Testing and defect management tools. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of Trading Applications.
• Identify test scenarios and prepare test cases.
• Report defects and manage error tracking.
• Apply SDLC/STLC principles; ensure quality across all testing stages.
• Design and review traceability matrices mapping BRD to test cases.
• Execute regression, functional, non-functional, sanity and smoke tests.
• Collaborate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and provide test status updates.
• Write SQL queries for data verification against SQL Server.
• Prepare test deliverables and ensure alignment with business needs.

Trading Application & Algo Tester JOB DESCRIPTION

What he will do

• Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• Expertise in Manual Testing with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
