Job summary

A leading software services company in Mumbai is hiring a Trading Application & Algo Tester. The candidate should have 4 to 7 years of experience in manual testing, with expertise in defect management, SQL and familiarity with trading applications. Responsibilities include basic functional testing, preparing and executing test cases, and participating in scrum meetings. This is a full-time role based in office, and the remuneration will adhere to industry standards.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in Testing.
• Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• Very good knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Experience with SQL queries for data verification.
• Experience in functional, regression, retesting, and sanity testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic functional testing of trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and execute test cases.
• Write SQL queries for data verification.
• Follow SDLC/STLC and participate in agile Scrum ceremonies.
• Design and maintain traceability from requirements to test cases.

Trading Application & Algo Tester JOB DESCRIPTION

What he will do

• Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• Expertise in Manual Testing with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
