Job summary

A software services company is looking for a Trading Application & Algo Tester in Mumbai. The role demands 4-7 years of expertise in functional and manual testing of trading applications, defect reporting, and SQL for data verification. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. The position involves working in a full-time capacity from the office and includes conducting Test Case reviews and extensive functional testing. Attractive industry-standard remuneration offered.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in testing.
• Expertise in Manual Testing and defect management.
• Very good knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, System and Sanity testing.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum ceremonies.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data validation (SQL Server).

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of Capital Market Trading Applications.
• Prepare and execute test cases based on business requirements.
• Conduct Test Case reviews and provide feedback.
• Apply SDLC/STLC processes and maintain test documentation.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum activities and test status updates.
• Execute various testing types: functional, regression, retesting, system and sanity tests.

Trading Application & Algo Tester Job Description

What he will do:

• Basic functional Testing of Capital Market Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc.
• Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• Expertise in Manual Testing with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53.
• Very good knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• Conducted Test Case review and sent review comments to team mates.
• Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
