Axis Bank is seeking an experienced Head of Vendor Management to lead onboarding, governance, and contract controls across the supplier lifecycle. The role partners with Business, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Technology and Operations to ensure a controlled, scalable vendor governance framework.

Candidates should have extensive exposure to KYV/KYB due diligence, policy adherence, data privacy, and automation initiatives, with a track record of stakeholder engagement at senior levels.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Vendor Management, Third-Party Risk, Procurement Governance or related functions.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, FinTech or regulated industries preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management and governance with audit coordination and transformation exposure.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end vendor onboarding, KYV/KYB due diligence, vendor master governance.
• Oversee contract onboarding, repository management, lifecycle controls, renewals and governance reporting.
• Drive supplier performance management, vendor reviews, risk monitoring and remediation tracking.
• Coordinate audits (internal, regulatory and business) and data submissions; close observations.

Role Summary
Lead the Vendor Management function covering vendor onboarding, supplier lifecycle governance, contract controls, supplier performance, regulatory compliance, audit coordination and transformation. The role will partner with Business, Procurement, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Technology and Operations to deliver a controlled, efficient and scalable vendor governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end vendor onboarding, KYV/KYB due diligence, screening and vendor master governance.
• Oversee contract onboarding, repository management, lifecycle controls, renewals, amendments and governance reporting.
• Lead supplier performance management, vendor reviews, risk monitoring and remediation tracking.
• Govern Delegation of Financial Powers (DOFP), approval mappings, reconciliations and related system controls.
• Coordinate internal, concurrent, regulatory and business audits, including data submissions, responses and closure of observations.
• Drive policy, regulatory and data privacy requirements applicable to vendor and third-party arrangements.
• Lead process automation, digital transformation and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) initiatives.
• Develop management dashboards, MIS and governance updates for senior leadership and committees.
• Lead the team (5 People) and act as the central interface across internal stakeholders, service providers and suppliers.

Candidate Profile

• 12+ years of relevant experience in Vendor Management, Third-Party Risk, Procurement Governance, Contract Management, Operations, Audit, Compliance or a related function.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, FinTech or another regulated industry is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, governance, audit coordination and transformation programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management and governance forums.

Educational Qualifications

Law Graduate (LLB/LLM), Engineering Graduate (B.E./B.Tech), Company Secretary (CS) + MBA/PGDM or an equivalent professional qualification.

Additional certification in Risk Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Compliance, Project Management or Contract Management will be an advantage.
