Job summary

Scorpio Marine Management Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Voyage Manager to lead commercial operations and vessel management. The role requires coordinating pre-fixture negotiations, voyage execution with brokers and charterers, and ensuring optimal bunkering and scheduling across 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Chartering and other departments to gather voyage details during pre-fixture negotiations.
• Coordinate execution of voyages with Brokers, Charterers, Agents and internal teams on a 24/7 basis.
• Oversee bunkering and vessel optimization to maximize cargo intake and fuel efficiency.
• Negotiate and appoint port agents; plan bunkers per trading area grades; coordinate post-fixture actions.
• Manage port disbursement accounts, billing for freight, and coordinate with Claims Coordinators.

Relevant Experience-3 years’ experience in commercial operations or seagoing experience in the management position.
The candidate should be able to work independently but also feel comfortable collaborating and communicating across all levels of the organization. Vessel operations commands a 24/7 coverage and you should be willing to work extended hours should the situation demand.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Area of Responsibility

Liaison with Chartering-Assist the Chartering Department in collating the information required by customers during the pre-fixture negotiations. The information required may include:

• -Details of the vessels specifications
• -Cargo carrying capabilities
• -Performance history of the vessel
• -Assessing suitability for the trade
• -Estimated Voyage Costs
• -Port specific information
• -Vessel scheduling

Execution of Voyage

• -To liaise and coordinate with Brokers / Charterers, Agents, Internal departments on efficient & to facilitate execution of the voyage on a 24/7 basis.
• -Liaising with accounting and prepare summary of outstanding, receivables.
• -Ensure collection of all receivables to improve cash flow.
• -Contest / defend and negotiate claims.

Bunkering & Vessel Optimization

• -To ascertain that the vessel optimizes cargo intakes & to ensure vessel is sufficiently bunkered.

Internal & External Liaison

• -To negotiate and appoint port agents, plan bunkers stems as per grades permissible to trading areas.
• -To bill for freight and other charterers claims and coordinate with post fixture group.
• -Post fixture inputs to Claims Coordinators
• -Review and approval of Port Disbursement accounts.
• -Record keeping and Data Management in company systems.
