Job summary

Capgemini Engineering invites a Voice Core Engineer to join a team delivering next‑generation telecom network solutions. You will execute end‑to‑end telecom testing, validate core network functions, analyze logs, and work with cross‑functional teams to ensure high‑quality deployments.

Key responsibilities include testing Voice/Data Core across 2G‑5G, validating signaling, and maintaining comprehensive test documentation. Strong problem‑solving, communication, and Unix/Linux skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Voice Core and Data Core testing across 2G‑5G networks.
• Hands-on exposure to telecom nodes including MSC, HSS, HLR, IMS, EPC, PCRF, AMF, SMF, UPF.
• Good understanding of telecom protocols (SIP, DIAMETER, GTP, CAP, MAP, SS7).
• Experience in test execution, log analysis, defect management and end‑to‑end testing.

Job description

Join a team delivering next-generation telecom network solutions. As a Voice Core Engineer, you will contribute to testing and validation of Voice Core and Data Core networks across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies, ensuring seamless connectivity, reliability, and service performance.

Your Role

You will be responsible for executing end-to-end telecom testing, validating core network functionalities, analyzing network logs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality network deployments.

In this role, you will:

• Perform Voice Core and Data Core testing across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks.


• Validate signaling and call flows across telecom core network elements.


• Execute test cases, analyze results, and identify defects.


• Perform log analysis and troubleshoot network issues.


• Work closely with development and operations teams to resolve defects and improve system performance.


• Manage defects using standard tracking tools and participate in test lifecycle activities.


• Ensure end-to-end validation of telecom services and network features.


• Create and maintain test documentation, reports, and test execution records.

Your Profile

• Strong experience in Voice Core and Data Core testing across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks.


• Hands-on exposure to telecom nodes including MSC, HSS, HLR, IMS, EPC, PCRF, AMF, SMF, and UPF.


• Good understanding of telecom protocols such as SIP, DIAMETER, GTP, CAP, MAP, and SS7.


• Experience in test execution, log analysis, defect management, and end-to-end telecom testing.


• Proficiency with telecom testing and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, ALM, and JIRA.


• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and environments.
