Job summary

HireRight seeks an experienced Voice and Accent Coach to elevate spoken English skills across our workforce. You will train individuals and teams, focusing on pronunciation, diction, and neutral English for international interactions.

The role includes designing modules, conducting sessions, assessing progress, and partnering with Quality and Training teams. A Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years in voice coaching are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Communication, or related field.
• 2–5 years of voice and accent training experience.
• Experience in BPO, customer service, or corporate training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group voice and accent training with role plays.
• Create modules for levels from entry to manager and provide practice sessions.
• Evaluate participants' progress with pre/post assessments and reports.
• Develop up-to-date training content and update resources.
• Support onboarding and coordinate with Quality/Training teams.

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Voice and Accent Coach to enhance communication skills, pronunciation, and overall vocal delivery for employees. The role involves training individuals and groups to achieve clarity, confidence, and professionalism in spoken English, with a strong focus on neutralizing regional accents and improving customer interaction quality.

Responsibilities

• Training Delivery
  • Conduct individual and group training sessions on voice modulation, diction, pronunciation, and accent neutralization.
  • Design and deliver coaching modules tailored to different levels (entry-level agents, team leaders, managers).
  • Provide role plays, mock calls, and practice sessions to simulate real customer interactions.
• Assessment & Feedback
  • Assess participants’ voice and accent skills through pre- and post-training evaluations.
  • Provide constructive, personalized feedback and development plans.
  • Track progress and share reports with stakeholders.
• Curriculum Development
  • Develop and update training content, including learning aids, practice exercises, and digital resources.
  • Stay updated with global communication standards, cultural nuances, and linguistic best practices.
• Coaching & Support
  • Offer one-on-one coaching for employees requiring additional support.
  • Partner with Quality and Training teams to identify recurring communication gaps and design interventions.
  • Support new hire onboarding and transition programs.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Excellent command over spoken and written English.
• Strong understanding of phonetics, intonation, and articulation.
• Ability to teach neutral English (international standard – US/UK/Global Neutral).
• Strong facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills.Empathetic and patient approach to adult learning.
• Handling irate callers.
• Cultural Sensitization.
• Ability to engage participants in fun, interactive, and practical sessions.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Communication, or related field (preferred).
• Certification in phonetics/voice coaching/accent training is an advantage.
• 2–5 years of experience in voice and accent training, preferably in BPO, customer service, or corporate training environment.
• Proven track record of successfully improving participants’ spoken communication.

Performance Metrics

• Improvement in participants’ voice and accent assessment scores.
• Training effectiveness (measured by post-training feedback and on-the-job performance).
• Reduced communication-related errors or escalations in customer interactions.
• Positive participant engagement and feedback.
