Job summary

SP Leak Test & Automation Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks a VMC Programmer to drive precision machining. You will program and operate VMCs, set up tools, fixtures, and work offsets, and interpret CAD drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities include estimating machining hours, planning schedules, coordinating with design and production teams, and ensuring quality with measuring instruments. Familiarity with CAM software and multi‑axis CNC control is required.

Responsibilities

1. As a VMC machine Programmer at SP Leak Test & Automation Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the team by performing the following key responsibilities:
2. -Programming for VMC Machine (Programming Knowledge for CNC Machine added advantage but not a must) Operating & Setting of VMC
3. Inventory Management (Raw materials & tools)
4. Estimation for machined parts
5. Supplier coordination
6. Able to do programming with Solid Cam
7. Estimation of machine hours
8. Interpretation of CAD/drawings
9. Planning and scheduling as per the requirement
10. Work holding Fixture planning for parts
11. Follow-up with outsourcing vendors
12. Knowledge in using quality instruments
13. Analysing the root cause and troubleshooting of machine issues
14. Good communication skills
15. Willing to work in extended work hours/shift.
16. Set up tools, fixtures, and work offsets on the VMC machine.
17. Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining symbols.
18. Select cutting tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and machining requirements.
19. Verify programs through simulation and perform trial runs.
20. Optimize machining cycles to reduce machining time and improve quality.
21. Inspect machined parts using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometre, Height Gauge, CMM optional).
22. Perform machine basic maintenance and ensure 5S in the machining area.
23. Coordinate with design and production teams for machining feasibility and process improvements.
24. Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs accordingly.

Desired profile of the candidate

• Hands-on working experience on VMC machines (Fanuc Siemens Mitsubishi).
• Excellent understanding of machining processes and cutting tool selection.
• Ability to read 2D & 3D drawings.
• Knowledge of CAM software is mandatory.
• Understanding of GD&T standards.

• 2 to 5 years of Experience required.
