Job summary

Chethan Seervi M in Bengaluru (Bommasandra Industrial Area) is seeking an experienced CNC/VMC Programmer to develop 2D and 3D programs for precision components. You will prepare CAM-based programs and generate toolpaths for a range of machining operations on 3-axis VMC machines.

The ideal candidate has 3–8 years of CNC/VMC programming experience, with proficiency in CAM tools (Mastercam, Fusion 360, PowerMill) and a solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in CNC/VMC programming.
• Experience with 2D and 3D machining.
• Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, PowerMill or equivalent.
• Fanuc controller knowledge preferred.
• Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• ITI / Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC and VMC programs for precision machining components.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop CNC and VMC programs for precision machining components.
• Must be capable of programming both 2D and 3D components.
• Create and modify CNC/VMC programs as per engineering drawings.
• Prepare programs using CAM software for 3-axis VMC machining.
• Generate toolpaths for roughing, finishing, pocketing, contouring, drilling and 3D profiling.
• Knowledge of Fanuc CNC/VMC controllers is required.
• Perform tool selection, tool offset and work offset setting.
• Understand G-code, M-code, G54 and coordinate systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, dimensions and tolerances.
• Optimize cutting parameters, tooling and machining cycle time.
• Support operators during machine setup and production.
• Inspect first-off components and make necessary program corrections.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
