Job summary

Sehdev Travel is seeking an experienced educational counsellor to assess students’ backgrounds and goals, guiding them through overseas education options and admission processes. You will evaluate profiles for programs in major destinations and assist with applications, visas, and pre-departure planning.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in educational counselling, experience with international student admissions, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to support students and parents

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in educational counselling.
• Experience with international student admissions (universities, study abroad agencies, or as an independent consultant).
• Knowledge of education systems, visa requirements, and admission procedures for major destinations.
• Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to guide students and parents through the study abroad process.

• Provide guidance on universities, courses, admission requirements, and timelines.

• Guide students through the admission process, including SOP preparation and interview prep.
• Provide support with visa requirements, financial documentation, and pre-departure guidance.
• Stay updated with international education trends, visa policies, and admission requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in educational counselling, preferably in overseas education.
• Experience working with international student admissions, either with universities, study abroad agencies, or as an independent consultant.
• Strong knowledge of the education systems, application procedures, visa requirements, and cultural aspects of major study destinations such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.
• Excellent communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to guide students and parents effectively through the study abroad process.
