vConstruct, a DPR Construction subsidiary, seeks a Modeler with strong Tekla Structures expertise to develop accurate, coordinated, fabrication-ready steel models and drawings.

You will work with Senior Modellers, Checkers, and Engineers to interpret design requirements and deliver constructible models that meet project milestones.

Competenze

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 4–8 years of experience in structural steel detailing with hands-on Tekla Structures modelling.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings, shop requirements, RFIs, and other docs.

vConstruct, a Pune-based Construction Technology company, isseeking a Modeler with strong structural steeldetailing knowledge and hands‑on experience using Tekla Structures. This roleis responsible for independently developing accurate, coordinated, andfabrication-ready structural steel models and drawings for standard and moderatelycomplex assignments while supporting project delivery, quality, and scheduleobjectives.

TheModeler works closely with Senior Modelers, Checkers, Project Leads,Engineers, and other project team members to interpret design requirements,coordinate model-based deliverables, resolve routine technical issues, andsupport effective project execution. The role also contributes to projectdocumentation, change management, continuous improvement, and the developmentof consistent modelling practices.

KeyResponsibilities

• Interpret structuraldrawings, specifications, detailing standards, addendums, RFIs, referencemodels, and other project documents to understand design intent, materialrequirements, and modelling expectations.
• Develop and updatedetailed 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures, coveringprimary and secondary steel, connections, embeds, and miscellaneous steelsuch as stairs, handrails, and ladders, in accordance with projectrequirements and assigned scope.
• Identify missinginformation, discrepancies, clashes, and potential constructabilityissues. Identify potential RFIs and raise it, support interpretation ofRFI responses, and coordinate with Senior Modellers, Checkers, and projectstakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Assist with taskplanning, internal schedules, and planned hours for assigned work, andcoordinate progress against project milestones.
• Apply project-specificmodelling standards, numbering systems, templates, reports, and workflowsconsistently. Contribute to improving modelling procedures, checklists,templates, Tekla custom components, automated connections, and otherproductivity-enhancing practices.
• Incorporate approveddesign revisions, RFI responses, and client comments into models anddrawings. Support the assessment of modelling changes, preparation ofchange estimates where required, maintenance of change logs, andpreparation of change-order documentation in coordination with projectleadership.
• Monitor assigned workagainst planned schedules and proactively communicate progress, technicalchallenges, risks, and potential delivery impacts to the appropriateproject team members.
• Perform self-checksand review assigned deliverables before submission. Address reviewcomments, apply quality procedures, and work with Checkers and SeniorModellers to minimize errors, revisions, and downstream rework.
• Create, review, andrefine shop fabrication, and erection drawings, ensuring accuracy,constructability, and compliance with client requirements, companystandards, and applicable industry practices.
• Support submittalmanagement by interpreting relevant specifications, customer requirements,check lists requirements, preparing or updating submittal logs, andtracking required documentation using established project managementplatforms. Prepare modelling reports and other documentation to supportproject coordination and decision-making.
• Collaborate withProject Leads, Project Managers, Senior Modellers, Checkers, Engineers,and BIM/VDC teams to support coordinated delivery. Share lessons learnedand assist junior team members when required.

RequiredQualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor'sdegree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relateddiscipline; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
• 4-8 years of experiencein structural steel detailing, including strong hands-on experience withTekla Structures modelling.
• Experience instructural steel 3D modelling, detailing, and drawing production.
• Good understanding ofstructural steel fabrication, connections, and erection practices.
• Working knowledge ofAISC standards and U.S. structural steel detailing practices.
• Ability to interpretstructural drawings, specifications, shop requirements, RFIs, and otherconstruction documents.

TechnicalSkills

• Intermediate toadvanced proficiency in Tekla Structures.
• Structural steel 3Dmodelling and detailing.

• Understanding of modelvalidation, coordination, and quality review processes.
• Familiarity withmaterial take-offs, modelling reports, and detailing deliverables.
