Job summary

IndusInd Bank is seeking an Investigating Officer in the Vigilance function based in Mumbai to lead investigations into employee misconduct, including policy violations and bribery concerns. You will collect and review documents, interview relevant parties, and draft comprehensive reports with findings and recommendations for disciplinary action.

You will participate in proactive risk initiatives, assist in Management/Board MIS, ensure privacy and confidentiality, and stay updated on applicable

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, including professional misconduct, harassment / inappropriate behavior, policy / process violations, involvement in bribery / kickback schemes, etc.
  • Collect and analyse/review relevant documentation, such as emails, performance reviews, other relevant records, etc. and forming conclusions based on the findings.
  • Conduct interviews with involved parties, including complainants, witnesses, and the accused employee, to gather information and assess credibility.
  • Drafting comprehensive investigation reports that summarize findings, analysis, and provide recommendations for appropriate disciplinary actions or other corrective measures based on investigation findings.
  • Participate as a Management Witness in disciplinary action proceedings resulting from from investigation endeavours.
  • Assist team in preparation of various Management / Board MIS and reports
  • Overall, the candidate is to ensure privacy and confidentiality of all information gathered during the investigation process; and ensuring all investigations are conducted in accordance with established company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards. Further, the candidate is expected to work / collaborate with other stakeholders in the Bank to ensure effective and appropriate handling of misconduct allegations.
  • Be abreast of relevant regulatory guidelines and circulars as relevant to the Vigilance function.

Role & responsibilities

2. Participate in various pro-active initiatives such as preventive vigilance risk assessments, anti-corruption initiatives, etc.
