Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional video editing experience.
• A strong portfolio of YouTube videos or digital content.
• Hands-on proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent professional editing software.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, visual composition, pacing, sound design and audience retention.
• Ability to work with raw footage and transform it into a polished final product.
• Attention to detail, creative problem-solving and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Comfort collaborating in a fast-paced, feedback-driven startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Video Editing: Edit long-form YouTube videos, explainers, interviews, educational content and short-form videos.
• Storytelling & Pacing: Use cuts, transitions, visual sequencing and narrative flow to maintain audience interest and improve retention.
• Visual Enhancement: Incorporate motion graphics, animations, text overlays, charts, stock footage, sound effects and other visual elements.
• Creator-style Editing: Adapt editing styles to suit the content format, creator personality, target audience and platform.
• Research-driven Visuals: Translate complex concepts, data points and financial information into clear and engaging visual explanations.
• Audio & Colour: Maintain high standards for audio quality, colour correction, sound design and overall production quality.
• Collaboration: Work with scriptwriters and program managers to understand creative intent and improve the final output.
• Platform Optimisation: Edit content for YouTube and other social platforms, following their respective formats and specifications.
• Performance Improvement: Use feedback and available performance insights to experiment with pacing, visual hooks and editing techniques.
• Production Ownership: Manage editing timelines, project files, revisions and final exports while maintaining consistent quality.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Video Editor who understands the art and science of digital video storytelling. You will work closely with scriptwriters, program managers and content teams to transform scripts and raw footage into engaging, polished videos for YouTube and other social media platforms. The ideal candidate has worked with a strong digital creator, a well-established YouTube channel or a content-driven media brand and understands how editing influences pacing, audience retention and overall viewing experience. We value creative judgement, attention to detail, speed of execution and the ability to make content visually engaging without compromising clarity.

Key Responsibilities:

What We're Looking For 2–5 years of professional video editing experience.

Familiarity with AI-assisted video workflows and production tools.
