The role requires 3+ years of YouTube editing, proficiency in Premiere Pro/Final Cut/DaVinci, and a strong eye for pacing, typography, and SEO optimization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of editing experience for YouTube or similar platforms.
• Ability to translate complex topics into engaging visuals.
• Strong storytelling with clean, purposeful design.
• Portfolio or channel links required.

Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble video content into polished final cuts for YouTube.
• Apply visual storytelling reflecting TED-Ed/Vox tones.
• Use motion graphics, infographics, and typography to explain complex ideas.
• Edit both short-form and long-form videos with strong pacing.
• Add music, SFX, voiceovers, and transitions.
• Collaborate with writers, voice artists, and animators.
• Optimize videos for YouTube SEO, retention, and engagement.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience editing for YouTube—portfolio or channel links are a must.
• Proficiency with editing tools (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Experience with motion graphics software After Effects, Canva, or similar.
• A strong sense of visual storytelling and an eye for clean, purposeful design.
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear, digestible, and engaging visuals.
• Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Deep understanding of and appreciation for content styles like those on TED-Ed, Think School, and Vox.
