Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. The ideal candidate will be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story. You will work closely with the production team to ensure the final product meets the desired outcome and is delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video footage to create compelling and engaging content for various platforms (e.g., social media, websites, television, etc.).
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video.
• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance the video.
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of the final video.
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
• Create Attractive Reels For Social media
• Manage and organize video files and assets.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
• Creative mind and storytelling skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Degree in Film Studies, Media Production, or a related field is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with color grading and audio editing.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and animation.
• Understanding of different video formats and codecs.
• Experience working with green screens and chroma keying.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their video requirements.
