Job summary

Gelarograce Studio is seeking a skilled Video Editor to transform raw footage into compelling stories across films, OTT series, commercials, and promos. You will drive pacing, continuity, and visual storytelling while meeting tight deadlines.

The role requires at least 2 years’ professional experience, a strong showreel, and ability to collaborate with directors, VFX, and post teams. English and Hindi proficiency and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Video Editor.
• Strong understanding of video editing principles and storytelling.
• Experience working on films, OTT, commercials, music videos or similar content.
• Good knowledge of editing workflows and post-production processes.
• Strong sense of timing, pacing, composition, and visual aesthetics.
• Ability to understand creative briefs and execute feedback.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Professional showreel or portfolio demonstrating editing skills.
• Bilingual (English and Hindi).
• Must be willing and able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Edit video content for feature films, OTT series, commercials, music videos, and promotional content.
• Review and organize raw footage, audio, graphics, and other project assets.
• Create rough cuts, fine cuts, and final edits based on creative briefs and director/client feedback.
• Develop strong storytelling through editing, pacing, rhythm, and shot selection.
• Ensure continuity, visual consistency, and narrative flow across sequences.
• Work closely with directors, producers, VFX artists, colourists, and the post-production team.
• Coordinate with VFX and sound departments to ensure smooth post-production workflows.
• Manage project files, timelines, media, and versioning in an organized manner.
• Handle revisions and feedback efficiently.
• Maintain technical quality, including resolution, frame rate, audio sync, and export specifications.
• Deliver high-quality edits within project timelines.
• Ability to work on fast-turnaround projects while maintaining quality standards.
• Contribute creative ideas and editing solutions to improve the final output.
