Responsibilities

• Add subtitles, overlays, music, SFX, and clear CTAs.
• Collaborate with performance marketer to review metrics weekly.
• Maintain an organized library of footage and templates.

91Astrology is a faith-tech platform helping people find guidance through Nadi Reports, personal consultations with experienced astrologers, and Poojas and chadhavas performed at temples across India. We're growing fast, and video ads on Instagram and Facebook are how most of our customers first find us.

The Role

You’ll edit the video ads that bring customers to 91Astrology. This isn't brand filmmaking. Every video you make goes live as an ad and gets judged on one thing: does it make people stop, watch and book?

You’ll work in a small, fast team. You’ll see which of your edits win and which don't every week, and you’ll use that to make the next batch better.

What You’ll Do

• Turn raw footage (astrologer talking-heads, temple and ritual shoots, customer stories, UGC) into tight, high-retention ads
• Build strong first 3 seconds: hooks, pattern-breaks, on‑screen text that stops the scroll
• Make multiple versions of every winner: new hooks, new openings, different lengths, different languages
• Add subtitles (Hindi/Hinglish, Devanagari and Roman), text overlays, music, sound effects and end cards with clear CTAs
• Use AI video tools (Higgsfield, Kling, Veo, Runway or similar) for B‑roll, transitions and concept tests
• Review ad performance with the performance marketer every week (hook rate, watch time, CTR) and apply what you learn
• Keep a clean, organised library of footage, templates and past ads

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

• 1+ years editing short‑form or performance video: ads, Reels, YouTube Shorts
• Strong skills in Premiere Pro / After Effects or CapCut / DaVinci Resolve
• A clear sense of pacing, hooks and retention: you know why people scroll past
• Comfort editing in Hindi and Hinglish, including Devanagari subtitles
• Speed without sloppiness: you can turn around a good ad in hours, not days
• A portfolio of short‑form videos or ads you’ve edited
