Job summary

SoGal Ventures in Mumbai is seeking a creative Video Editor to join our growing skincare brand’s content team. You’ll produce engaging short- and long-form videos for social media, campaigns, and storytelling that bring the brand to life.

Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to plan, shoot, and edit concepts, ensuring brand consistency and timely delivery. A passion for skincare and strong storytelling are a must.

Office: Lodha One, Lower Parel; Hybrid work; Mon–Fri.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in film studies, broadcasting, or related field.
• 2–3 years video editing experience, preferably in beauty or skincare sectors.
• Excellent communication and brand representation skills.

Responsibilities

• Edit high-quality platform-specific videos with quick turnaround times.
• Collaborate with content and marketing teams on ideas and storyboards.
• Create compelling narratives through visual storytelling.
• Enhance videos with music, SFX, VO, transitions, and motion graphics.
• Maintain brand consistency across tone and visual treatment.
• Optimize outputs for platform specs (aspect ratio, duration, file size).
• Stay updated on trends and social video formats.
• Analyze content performance and evolve editing styles.
• Deliver assets on time and manage revisions.

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our growing content

team. In this role, you will help bring the brand to life across digital platforms by producing engaging short- and long-form video content for social media, marketing campaigns, and brand storytelling.

You’ll collaborate closely with the marketing and creative teams to conceptualize, plan, and execute videos that drive performance and elevate our visual identity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and produce high-quality, platform-specific video content with quick turnaround times.
• Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to develop creative ideas and storyboards
• Craft compelling narratives through visual storytelling.
• Enhance videos using music, SFX, VO, transitions, and motion graphics (where applicable).
• Ensure brand consistency in tone, visual treatment, and messaging across all content.
• Optimize video output for platform-specific specs (aspect ratios, duration, file sizes).
• Stay updated with industry trends, editing techniques, and social media video formats.
• Track content performance metrics and evolve editing styles accordingly.
• Deliver assets on time and manage revisions based on team feedback.

Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in film studies, broadcasting, communications, or a related field preferred
• Experience: 2- 3 years proven experience as a video editor, preferably in the beauty, luxury, skincare or products industry.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to represent the brand
• Passion for skincare, beauty, and wellness.

Skills:

• Proficiency in video editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
• Creative agility: Every video should have a fresh concept and visual treatment.
• Speed and efficiency: Ability to work under tight timelines without compromising quality.
• Familiarity with motion graphics and animation (After Effects is a plus).
• Experience with AI-based creative/editing tools is a plus.
• Deep understanding of social media video trends, formats, and editing techniques.
• Excellent audio editing skills including sound mixing and design.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and a creative eye.
• A passion for skincare, wellness, and visual content that resonates with audiences.
