Job summary

HireNHigher in Indore, India is seeking a Video Editor for short-form content and Reels. You will turn raw footage into engaging clips designed for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, with a focus on hooks and pacing.

Work with content, creative and marketing teams to maintain brand standards, explore trends, and use AI-powered tools to speed production while delivering high-quality edits.

On-site role with full-time commitment in Indore, 6 days a week.

Qualifications

• 1–6 years of experience in video editing, with a preference for short-form content.
• Portfolio showcasing Reels and other short-form content.
• Proven experience creating engaging Reels and social media content.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut or similar tools.
• Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, transitions, captions, and sound design.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools for video editing or workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Edit high-quality Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form videos from briefs.
• Develop hooks, pacing, transitions, captions, sound design and VFX to boost retention.
• Collaborate with content, creative and marketing teams to craft engaging content.
• Experiment with editing styles, formats and trends to improve performance.

Experience Required: 1-6 years of experience (preferred: short-form content)

Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Job Module: On-site (6 days working)

We're looking for a Video Editor who can take raw footage and turn it into a Reel that makes people stop scrolling, watch till the end and want to see the next one. If you are the one, we'd love to meet you.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Edit high-quality Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form videos from raw footage and creative briefs.
• Create strong hooks, pacing, transitions, captions, sound design and visual effects that improve viewer retention and engagement.
• Work closely with the content, creative and marketing teams to develop engaging content.
• Experiment with different editing styles, formats and trends to continuously improve content performance.
• Use AI-powered video and creative tools to speed up production and explore new creative possibilities.
• Maintain consistency across videos while following brand guidelines and quality standards.
• Stay updated with the latest Instagram, YouTube and short-form content trends.

Skills & Qualifications Required

• 1–6 years of relevant experience in Video Editing, preferably with strong short-form content experience.
• Work portfolio is required, preferably showcasing Reels and other short-form content.
• Proven experience in creating engaging Reels and social media content.
• Familiar with using Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, transitions, captions, and sound design.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools for video editing, content creation or workflow automation.
• Comfortable working on-site in Indore and committing to a full-time role.
