Job summary

Medhavi Skills University (MSU) is seeking a creative Video Editor to produce compelling content for marketing campaigns, social media, and corporate communications. You will transform raw footage into high-quality videos, aligning with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.

The ideal candidate has a 2–4 year track record, proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects, and a strong portfolio across promos, reels, explainers, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Multimedia, Mass Communication, Film Production, Animation, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional video editing experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Experience with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro is a plus.
• Strong color grading, audio editing, sound design, and motion graphics skills.
• Knowledge of video compression, rendering settings, codecs, and export formats.
• Creative storytelling and ability to tailor content for social media.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos for various formats (promos, reels, explainers, testimonials).
• Enhance videos with motion graphics, transitions, subtitles, music, sound effects, and audio mixing.
• Perform color correction and color grading to ensure professional visuals.
• Optimize videos for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other platforms.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to align with campaigns and storyboards.
• Organize and maintain video asset library with version control.
• Ensure brand consistency across all content adhering to guidelines.
• Manage multiple editing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay updated with trends and platform-specific formats for engaging content.

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to produce compelling visual content that strengthens our brand presence across digital platforms. The ideal candidate will transform raw footage into high-quality videos for marketing campaigns, social media, corporate communications, and events. This role requires strong storytelling abilities, technical expertise in video editing software and an understanding of current digital content trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos, including promotional videos, social media reels, explainers, testimonials, event highlights, and corporate communications.
• Enhance videos using motion graphics, animations, transitions, subtitles, music, sound effects, and audio mixing.
• Perform color correction and color grading to ensure professional visual quality.
• Optimize videos for multiple digital platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn,Facebook, and other social media channels by adapting appropriate formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios.
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Creative teams to understand campaign objectives, develop storyboards, and execute creative concepts.
• Organize and maintain the video asset library, ensuring easy accessibility and proper version control.
• Ensure brand consistency across all video content, adhering to organizational guidelines.
• Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay updated with emerging video editing techniques, industry trends, and platform-specific content formats to create engaging digital experiences.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Multimedia, Mass Communication, Film Production,Animation, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in video editing with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects (Mandatory).
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Experience with DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of color grading, audio editing, sound design, and motion graphics.
• Familiarity with video compression, rendering settings, codecs, and export formats.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Creative storytelling and visual communication skills.
• Understanding of social media algorithms, video trends, and short-form content strategies.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to take creative feedback positively and incorporate revisions efficiently.
