Job summary

Copia Hr Services seeks a Plant Head/GM to oversee manufacturing across all plants as a single P&L, ensuring output, cost efficiency, quality and delivery with disciplined processes.

You will lead plant heads, standardize KPIs, and drive Lean, TPM and Industry 4.0 initiatives, including SAP planning and ERP discipline across multiple sites in India.

Qualifications

• 18–21 years in manufacturing, with 5+ years in Plant Head/GM roles (band of 16–21 years).
• Multi-plant exposure with a stated P&L figure, not just a yes.
• Sheet metal/press shop and forging depth with tonnages and machine types.
• Lean/TPM with quantified results.
• SAP working knowledge.
• B.Tech/B.E. Mechanical (full-time, accredited).
• Stable tenure, with no recent rapid job changes.

Responsibilities

• Own manufacturing across all plants as a single P&L, delivering output, cost, quality and delivery with discipline.
• Lead plant heads and set common standards, KPIs and reviews.
• Run sheet metal/press, forging, casting, machining and finishing lines, and assembly lines.
• Drive Lean, TPM, OEE, Kaizen, 5S and cycle-time and scrap reduction.
• Introduce Industry 4.0, shop-floor data capture, IoT/MES, OEE dashboards and data-driven decisions.
• Run planning, production and costing through SAP.
• Plan machines, tooling and layout; evaluate and execute capacity expansion.
• Work with Quality on ISO 9001/14001, SMETA; IATF readiness is a plus.
• Manage make-vs-buy, vendor development, and cost and inventory control.
• Build a plant leadership bench and a discipline culture.

Role purpose

Own manufacturing across all plants as a single P&L. Deliver output, cost, quality and delivery, and replace jugaad with process discipline.

Key responsibilities

• P&L ownership: direct accountability for plant revenue, margin and EBITDA across multiple plants.
• Multi-plant leadership: lead plant heads and set common standards, KPIs and reviews.
• Process spread: run the sheet metal/press, forging, casting, machining and finishing lines, and the assembly lines.
• Operational excellence: drive Lean, TPM, OEE, Kaizen, 5S and cycle-time and scrap reduction.
• Digital manufacturing: introduce Industry 4.0 (shop-floor data capture, IoT/MES, OEE dashboards, automation) and use data for decisions.
• ERP discipline: run planning, production and costing through SAP.
• Capex and capacity: plan machines, tooling and layout, and evaluate and execute expansion.
• Quality and compliance: work with Quality on ISO 9001/14001, SMETA and customer audits. IATF readiness is a plus.
• Cost and supply chain: manage make-vs-buy, vendor development, and cost and inventory control.
• People and culture: build a plant leadership bench and a discipline culture.
