Upahar India seeks a Vice President CMO/CDMO (International Business Development) with 20+ years in pharma to lead global expansion. You will drive international BD, secure new innovator clients, and steer revenue growth across EU, US and Japan. A proven leadership track and strong API development knowledge are essential.

Lead cross-functional teams, represent the company at major industry platforms, and own planning, forecasting and budgets for the CDMO business.

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic/Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; MBA advantageous.
• 20+ years in Pharma with 10+ years in leadership handling international CDMO/CMO.
• Proven track record of winning CMO/CDMO business from US/EU innovators.
• Strong API development: route scouting, process development, tech transfer, GMP manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead International Business Development for CMO/CDMO vertical in Regulated Markets (EU, US, Japan).
• Acquire innovators, build long-term strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth.
• Oversee proposals, costing, and project execution with R&D, QA, RA, and Manufacturing.
• Represent Oceanic at global platforms (CPhI Worldwide, DCAT, BIO).
• Own P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning for CDMO business.
• Build and lead a high-performance BD team and ensure repeat business.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for Looking for Vice President CMO/CDMO (International Business Development) M Sc / Ph.D. with 20+ Years to lead and expand the company's global CMO/CDMO business.

• Lead International Business Development for CMO/CDMO vertical for Regulated Markets [EU][US][Japan]
• Acquire new innovator clients and build long-term strategic partnerships
• Drive revenue growth through Custom Synthesis, Process Development, Scale-up and Commercial Manufacturing contracts
• Build and lead a high-performance BD team
• Work closely with R&D, ADL, QA, RA, Manufacturing and Supply Chain for proposal building, tech review, costing and project execution
• Represent Oceanic at global platforms like CPhI Worldwide, DCAT, BIO
• Own P&L, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning for CDMO business
• Build strong client relationships and ensure repeat business and customer retention

Preferred candidate profile

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Chemical Engineering. MBA will be an added advantage.
• 20+ years of experience in Pharma Industry with at least 10+ years in leadership role handling International CDMO/CMO Business Development.
• Must have proven track record of winning CMO/CDMO business from US/EU innovator companies.
• Strong technical understanding of API development - Route Scouting, Process Development, Tech Transfer, GMP Manufacturing, DMF/CEP filings.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and client management skills.
• Experience from leading CDMO companies.
