Vertical Finance Officer - Lead

Responsibilities
As the Vertical Finance Officer, you will be the finance and commercial excellence advisor to the Global Business Head/Strategic Client Partners, providing strategies and drilling down specific goals to business units to improve price realization and profitability. You will drive culture change towards financial management of the business, identify and drive initiatives to improve overall business performance, and support profitable business growth. Your key responsibilities include:
- Enhance the performance and agility of the verticals and identify opportunities to double target performance.
- Identify profit zones and investment zones for the vertical and its major customers and collaborate on expansion strategy.
- Provide P&L insights to generate profitable growth (margin expansion with business scaling).
- Own pricing governance and renewals through robust contract management to improve margins.
- Provide strong SGA cost control and optimisation, implementing actions and reviews.
- Ensure adequate financial hygiene through improved project finance management.
- Perform revenue and margin forecasting.
- Deliver timely and accurate business and financial information and analytics.
- Model commercial/rate negotiations around bill rates, cost, COLA, etc.
- Own the planning and budgeting process, APT, and EPT.
- Oversee the financial integration of acquired entities.
- Ensure DSOs align with payment terms.
- Maintain robust governance to monitor vertical financial actions across operating rhythms (MRMs, QRMS, StraPs, HLMs and ALMs).
- Provide training to the sales and delivery organization on financial health management.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all finance queries to Global Business Heads and Vertical Delivery Leader.

Ideal Candidate
- Proven 10‑15 years of experience in the IT/ER&D services industry.
- In‑depth understanding of how pricing and commercial issues affect the organization.
- Experience authoring complex models and negotiating master service contracts and long‑term agreements.
- Act as a finance business partner to Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams.
- Drive revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and profitability improvement initiatives.
- Review SOWs, commercial proposals, and contracts to ensure financial viability.
- Monitor Business Unit performance – revenue, utilisation, gross margin, and contribution margin.

Governance and Quest Global Systems
- Maintain standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with leadership assessment and development protocols.

- Support audit readiness and reporting requirements for leadership development activities.
