Job summary

Hyundai Transys India is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Development to lead vendor and parts development, purchasing support, supplier audits, localization, cost analysis and quality activities for automotive seat components.

You will coordinate PPAP, manage supplier performance and work with cross-functional teams to meet development targets and continuous improvements. The role requires 5-7 years in automotive/vendor roles and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience in vendor development, parts development, purchasing or a related automotive function.
• Strong knowledge of automotive seat components and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in supplier audit, process audit, localization, VA/VE and PPAP.
• Good understanding of business operations including materials management, finance, costing and commercial aspects.
• Strong cost analysis, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Good project management skills with the ability to independently manage milestones and deliverables.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage vendor development, parts development and purchasing activities.
• Develop and manage suppliers for automotive seat components.
• Handle commodities such as Seat Covering (PU, PVC & Fabric), Press Parts, Injection Moulding and Assembly Parts.
• Conduct and support supplier quality audits and process audits.
• Drive localization, VA/VE, cost reduction and supplier improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate PPAP and quality-related documentation with suppliers.
• Perform cost analysis and support commercial negotiations with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, development milestones and project timelines.
• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Production and other cross-functional teams.
• Apply structured problem-solving and project management techniques to meet development targets.
